What are you proud of in your practice?
We have the latest technology to detect dental issues and provide quality, efficient dental treatment. Ranging from cone beam CT scan capabilities to dental microscopes to really detect and confirm anomalies that many others may not be able to see. We also provide dental sedation of varying degrees for nervous or fearful patients, to get their treatment done and oftentimes can get all of it done in minimal appointments. In addition, we have the ability to fabricate same day in-house crowns for more efficient care - so you don't have to take additional time out of your schedule to come back for a second appointment.
Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?
I enjoy treating difficult and complex cases, as that is where my training has taken me. I find that it makes the typical, straightforward cases easier to manage and pride myself on restoring a patient's smile and function. When the case incorporates many different facets of dentistry from root canals and implants to sedation dentistry and cosmetics - it's great to know we have the skills and technology to tackle any issue patient's may have.

I became a patient of S.M. Dental Clinic over 6 years ago now, after having received sub-par service from other local dentists over prior decades. Since then, extensive, remedial dental treatment that was needed, spread out over time. Now it's easy to emphatically recommend Dr. Belen and his dedicated staff and exceptional hygienists. They deserve all the accolades that can be articulated for their professionalism, caring and personable manner !

I'm almost 25 and I've been terrified of the dentist my whole life.. until I found Dr. Belen. I have extremely sensitive teeth and he made sure that I was comfortable and pain free at all times, checking on me throughout the whole procedure. The entire staff at San Mateo Dental Care is very accommodating and friendly, making every visit comfortable and stress free. I'm very happy I found this dental office and always know that I'm in good hands! I will definitely be coming back for all my dental needs and recommending them to all my friends.

Dr. B and his lovely assistant christy are the real definition of dream team in the dental world. Something about them 2 working together from going over every little detail to answering any and all questions/ concerns you have to easing my mind is what I've came to love about this office. I recently needed an implant placement done and I'm glad Dr Belen was able to place it and be so gentle. My experience was great! Easy and painless, who would think as I was getting surgery I'd walk out smiling and pain free. No pain killers needed at all. Would HIGHLY recommend this office as it doesn't feel like they are always in a rush or just about money like any other dental practice but actually caring about your actual dental needs and care. Thanks San Mateo dental care !
