Dr. Brian Trapnell has been providing outstanding orthodontic care since 1996. He earned his doctorate from Oregon Health and Science University and his master’s in orthodontics from New York University. To stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in the field of orthodontics, Dr. Brian maintains active memberships in numerous prestigious professional organizations such as the Utah Dental Association, the American Dental Association, the American Association or Orthodontics, the Provo District Dental Society and the Trapnell Orthodontics Study Club. Outside the office, Dr. Brian enjoys spending time with his wife Susan and their seven children. He volunteers with Boy Scouts of America, is a LDS youth leader and is founder of Giving Smile. He also enjoys piloting planes, hunting, fishing, pyrotechnics and rooting for his BYU Cougars and Utah Jazz!

What are the top 3 treatments that you focus on?

Traditional Braces Metal braces are the most common type. They are made of high-grade stainless steel. Today’s metal braces are smaller, more comfortable and more attractive. Ceramic Braces Ceramic braces are made of translucent (clear) material. They are most popular with adult patients, due to their cosmetic appeal. The only drawbacks to ceramic brackets are that they are more fragile, and the elastic ties can discolor between orthodontic visits. Invisalign® The Invisalign System is a series of clear overlay templates—called aligners—that have been generated by computer simulation to gradually move the teeth. This system is available to adult patients with certain orthodontic bite problems. Ask us if you are a candidate for the Invisalign system.
